This February, Young Wilders are partnering with Energy Garden to plant 103 meters of hedgerow at a bunch of Overground stations throughout SE London. Help them create green corridors, boost biodiversity, and beautify the landscape of TFL. Along the way, we’ll explain the role of hedgerows in urban ecosystems and how they can help us restore the missing biodiversity in our cities.
Who is this for : This event is for young people aged 18-30 who live in or around London and want to make a difference in their city by creating green spaces and restoring nature. No prior experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll provide the tools and the learning.
Travel: A topped-up Oyster card will be provided for each participant, and we’ll use Overground services to travel between stations. Meeting points will be discussed in the email closer to the event, so stay tuned for those details! We offer travel reimbursement for participants who need it - Just save your receipts and send them to Noah at noah@youngwilders.uk for a quick reimbursement transfer.
Note: Please be expected to arrive at the first station by 10 AM to kick off the day. We’ll provide more details about the route and schedule closer to the event date.
