Last year, I took part in an assessment group for temperature rainforests with Friends of the Lake District! Would highly recommend for people to go and have an explore in your nearest public temperature rainforest! Heres some amazing pictures I took on the day:
I believe that Temperate Forests are found in the north of the Tees-Exes line (Imaginary line that separates the north and south of the UK), so hike some mountains on the way there!
We actually have a few species of lichen only found in UK rainforests. One of them is Usnea articulata
